8 Hour EPA RRP Lead Safe Certified Renovator Initial (Blended)

According to the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule that took effect on April 22, 2010, anyone who performs renovation, repairs, or painting work for hire on target housing or child-occupied facilities built before 1978 is required to be certified in lead-safe work practices before renovating certain projects. If you are a contractor, painter, property manager, or anyone who performs renovation, repairs, or painting, obtaining your lead certificate is a crucial step in protecting your clients, your workers, and yourself, as well as avoiding possible daily fines.

The EPA developed an 8-hour training course to instruct individuals how to work safely in homes with lead-based paint. This EPA-approved course covers how to test for lead-based paint, how to work using lead-safe work practices if lead is present, and how to educate your customer on the hazards of lead-based paints, as well as the health hazard of lead-based paint.

Owners and principals at companies must complete the EPA RRP Training Certification course. After completing the course and receiving your lead-safe certified renovator certification, your employees may work under your lead-safe certification.
